WELCOME TO THE WATERSIDE CENTRE
A place for young people. A space for everyone
The Waterside Centre is a vibrant community hub in the heart of Newbury, run by local charity Berkshire Youth. At the heart of the centre is our work with young people aged 8–18, providing a safe place to go and positive things to do. Through youth clubs, outdoor activities and supportive youth work, we help young people build confidence, develop new skills and form friendships in an environment where they feel safe, valued and supported.
Alongside our youth programmes, the Waterside Centre is a welcoming space for the whole community. Local groups, organisations and businesses use our flexible spaces for meetings, events and activities, while visitors can relax at the Waterside Café and enjoy great coffee with beautiful riverside views. Whether you are looking for activities for children and teenagers, a venue to hire or simply a friendly place to spend time, the Waterside Centre is a place where young people thrive and the community comes together.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Waterside Centre
Excellent well run youth club. My granddaughter loves it here. Staff are always helpful and caring.

Waterside Centre
My child came here today for the first time. He did the am session 9.30-12.30. It was full of fun games and the staff were amazing! Mia made him feel very welcome on entrance (he is quite shy) and he had fun all morning.

Waterside Centre
What an amazing place for young people to use. Great location although the parking is confusing and expensive if you don't get a ticket so be warned! Lovely interior with lots of facilities including a climbing wall which is great.
