WHAT'S ON

From youth clubs and holiday activities to fitness classes, community groups and outdoor adventures, the Waterside Centre offers a wide range of activities for children, young people and the wider community. Whether you are looking to try something new, stay active or connect with others, there is something for everyone to get involved in.

ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE

Young people are at the heart of everything we do at the Waterside Centre. Our activities are designed to give children and young people somewhere safe to go, new things to try and the chance to build confidence, friendships and life skills.

We run a wide range of youth activities throughout the year, including youth clubs, holiday clubs and outdoor adventure sessions. Young people can get involved in a variety of exciting activities such as climbing and paddle sports, as well as cooking, crafting, discos, games and day trips. There are opportunities to try new challenges, get creative, learn practical skills and spend time socialising with friends in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Our experienced youth workers create a space where young people feel safe, valued and encouraged to be themselves. Whether they are learning a new activity, building friendships or simply having fun, the Waterside Centre is a place where young people can grow in confidence, discover their potential and thrive.

ACTIVITIES FOR THE WIDER COMMUNITY

Alongside our youth work, the Waterside Centre is also a welcoming hub for the wider community. During the school day, evenings and weekends the centre hosts a range of activities that bring people together and help build a strong, connected community.
Community groups regularly use the centre for baby and toddler sessions, support groups, crafting activities and fitness classes. We also run adult adventure activities including paddleboarding, paddlesports sessions and climbing, giving people the chance to stay active and try something new.

The centre’s facilities are also available for room hire and activity hire, making it a flexible space for local organisations, groups and community initiatives to meet, run sessions or host events.

By opening our doors to the whole community, while keeping young people at our core, the Waterside Centre helps create a place where everyone feels welcome and connected.
